Group and history

History :

The Molecular oncology team of the Institut Curie was created on the 1st of January 2004, in the UMR144 of the CNRS.

The goals of this team are to find genes involved in tumor progression, to validate their functional properties in vitro and in vivo, to study the genetic and epigenetic mechanisms leading to their activation or inactivation, and to characterize the associated molecular pathways.

The team has from the start developed multidisciplinary approaches implicating clinicians, anatomopathologists, biologists, bioinformaticians, informaticians and statisticians.
